Transforming Maui’s invasive species into assets.
Deeply connected to the land, Savage Kitchen Maui aims to assist you in learning to follow the lines of abundance. Our ecosystems are struggling, yet the earth is still providing us with invasive species in abundance that can be utilized for food and medicine. We are attempting to support the endemic species by harvesting the invasives, so that the natives can continue to thrive and sustain the people of Hawaiʻi, it’s wonderful culture, and the beautiful land that both locals and visitors love.
Want to be involved?
We’re always searching for people to help build community. There are the foraging trips and processing of wild foods which we need help with, but also a list of other activities if you’re interested. Maybe you’re interested in being an administrator for our app, or experience with advertising so we can get it out to the wider community, or maybe you’re a graphic designer who can help us with flyers and product labels. If you’re into this concept and want to offer your skillset please email us, and be sure to stay up to date on our news by signing up for the newsletter. We love you, thank you for making food security and access available in our community.
