Transforming Maui’s invasive species into assets.
Deeply connected to the land, Savage Kitchen Maui aims to preserve the ‘aina from invasive plant species. In doing so, the endemic species can continue to thrive and sustain the people of Hawaiʻi, it’s wonderful culture, and the beautiful land that both locals and visitors love. We rely on a network of volunteers to assist in foraging invasive species. Please sign up for our newsletter to stay in touch!
Proud to be local. Want to be involved?
We’re building a community of people who are dedicated to the preservation of culture through caretaking the land. Invasive plant species are threatening to take over remaining endemic species here in the islands, and lead to a loss of biodiversity that impacts our water supply and resources available for future generations. Endemic plant species are found here and nowhere else in the world. Join our team of local volunteers.
